I use the very detailed and very free Google Analytics code on my blog to track visitation. A summary of how the blog went in 2007:

over 2,700 visits

5,800 page views

65% of traffic from Search engines (Google basically!)

There is a slight (very slight) upward trend in visitation

Bulk of visitors from Australia, but also good visitation from USA and have reached over 50 countries including Norway, Chile and China

Top keyword “waterford valley golf” – the course review shows well on search engines

Golf courses and reviews are most popular content, hence will aim to improve this content

So its a very ‘niche’, ‘targetted’, low volume website!

Meet the Top100 Golfer, he is on a quest to play the top 100 golf courses in the World. Much like Arthurs quest for the Holy Grail, many golfers have tried for this golfing utopia and failed. Top100 golfer is giving it a red-hot go, and looks to have played about half the courses which is a damn fine effort. Doesnt look as though he has made it down-under yet to tick off Royal Melbourne, Kingston Heath and NSW. Good luck Top100, let me know if you need a playing partner!

Augusta National
With the world’s best currently chasing the Green Jacket at the Masters this weekend, here is Augusta National from above. You can almost see the Magnolia’s, and its certainly Masters green!

Banff Springs
A masterpiece from the air, spectacular to play. Played Banff Springs with Steve about 10 years ago, snow capped mountains, roaring rivers, roaming elk made keeping focus on the golf game difficult!
