Played a corporate golf day on Friday at Victoria Golf Club. Victoria is nestled in with Royal Melbourne, and presents a tough test of golf with gum tree lined fairways and thick, at time impenatrable rough to capture the wayward shot. Bunkers are numerous and cavernous.

Have just joined the Growling Frog Golf Club. Formed last year, the club plays out of the Growling Frog golf course running regular competitions on Saturdays and midweeks. Will also be able to transfer my handicap from the Gold Coast Country Club.
The third hole, 482 metre par 5
Played yesterday at the Growling Frog, a 6185 metre Graham Marsh design. The course is links style, set amongst large river gums with a lot of sand and the occasional ‘hidden’ lake/pond. Excellent fairways and greens, but the rough is literally dry clay and clumps of dry grass.

Had the unique opportunity to play in the 2005 Australian Open Pro-Am at Moonah Links. Teed off with Scottish pro, Jack Doherty on the 6th hole (tough Par 4). Slightly nervy sliced opening tee-shot was followed by some pretty good golf from our team. I parred 5 holes all up with most [...]

As part of a work Boys Weekend, played a round of golf with Ben (aka Torana) at Bright Country Golf Course. I dont use the “Hidden Gem” tag lightly, however this country course was a challenging layout, over 6000m, well bunkered and very good condition. Rate it highly.
