Short game tips
January 21st, 2010 by Doogs
Had a quick short game lesson with pro Kevin at Albert Park with Rob.
Problem: stance too open, too much wrist. Lead to inconsistent distance, decellerating downswing, fat, thin, in short, a mess!
Solution: straight stance, swing with shoulders/arms, min wrist, 70% weight on left. Move ball fwd in stance for higher flight.

Ok, nice. So when you say solution…you’re chipping has improved?
Pretty sound advice and something I should remember. I’ve had chipping issues in the past and always take out the wrist for a round or two. I find it comes with confidence.
Chipping is still work in progress, but the advice has improved setup which then should over time improve the confidence!!
