On Par – All about golf in Australia

Was lucky to be invited to the Experian golf day at Kingston Heath today, any opportunity to play one of Australia’s finest courses! The karma gods took offence to playing during working hours and proceeded to open the heavens, it rained consistently for the 5 hours we were on course and then cleared!

Joined collegue Paul and our BDM Amy in an ambrose format. We were short one player from the start, and Amy wasnt a golfer, try as she might, she couldnt get onto the ball. So we were basically a two man Ambrose team. The course was in excellent condition, and you would not have known that just a few weeks prior, thousands had roamed the fairway stalking Tiger Woods.

Paul and I werent disgraced, we finished with a gross score of 76 managing to team up well. My driver was much better than previous weeks, both of us were playing well off the fairways, and our par saving putts went in the hole! The rain forced the swing to be more relaxed, so it was as enjoyable a game as you can have whilst drowning at the same time!
