form survives another round

Second Easter round was played at Murrumbidgee Golf Course in Canberra. Played with Steve (mid way through shot in pic), Mick (next to Steve on fairway) and Bondy (walking into the rough, again!). Murrumbidgee is a great layout, set in rolling countryside, the course is suffering from the drought but still playing well. Coming off the 40pts at Quenbeayan two days ago, and with a new handicap of 15 (15.3), I was expecting the usual form slump. But wasnt to be! Pars on the first, second and third holes and then some solid golf set up a 19pt outward nine. Driver was not accurate but managed to make up for it on the backnine with good recovery, great irons and even some consistent putting. A trip to the trees on the 14th resulted in a wipe, thanks to lusty and irrational thoughts of hitting the green in two!. But then a ripping drive, and good approach setup a long putt for birdie, then par on the short 16th, a cracking 4 iron to 17th for par and lucky break on 18 for par. 21 pts and another 40py total!!!! Shocked and stunned. Two fantastic rounds in a row! Blood and urine samples still awaiting test results
