Inpromptu Swing Lesson at the shops
October 12th, 2008 by Doogs
Whilst working out what to buy for dinner at the local shopping centre, found a local golf course (Yarrambat) was conducting free swing lessons in a temporary net setup in the food court! So had a chat to Luke, the pro at Yarrambat and got a quick swing check.
He noted that I was holding the club a little close to my body at address, something I tend to do and dont notice until its too late. It also explains less than consistent driver off the tee. Got me to raise my hands slightly at address. Also noted that my right heel was lifting too much on impact, taking clubhead speed and power off the ball. Both of these problems also account for my fat shots. Got a quick video analysis of my swing to take away too.
Then finished off buying dinner (two steaks for the bbq!)
