Moonah Links - Pro Am

Played the Puma HSV Moonah Links Pro-am today, on the Open Course (See my review) at Moonah Links. Joined pro Heath Jones, David and Will (a wierd one, said he was off scratch and hadnt played for 6 months, could bomb the ball but also hit some shockers and had no etiquette at all, he finished with 100 off the stick!) for a 7:30am shotgun start (yeah way too early!). Started on the 13th, a medium length par 5, with the new driver which started well and got better! The wind was breezy but not too strong, and I played the first nine holes well, regulation par on the par 5 18th, two more pars and a great birdie on our final hole, the 12th. Bombed a drive down the middle, the sandwedge that checked and sat about 1.5 metres from the hole and sank the putt. Finished with 35 points, so very happy with the game.
The driver was great for its first up start, if anything my mid irons weren’t firing accurately, but the short game was much improved following my last lesson, and the putter was working too!
