2008 - Golf New Year Resolutions
January 6th, 2008 by Doogs
Another year dawns, 2008 promises much, will it deliver?
Apart from the normal NY resolutions of getting fit, losing weight, eating better, improving life etc etc, Ive also got some golfing new years resolutions….
- Take more lessons. After three lessons with Wayne at the Growling Frog last year, my game started to show signs of improvement. Maybe there is hope for me yet!
- Learn from my lessons. Having the lessons is one thing, putting them into practice is another. Need to concentrate on improving the game on course.
- Play more comps. One of the best tests of the game is in the heat of battle. The Growling Frog have a great club with over 200 members and a regular series of competitions. Whilst its tough to find the time, I aim to play more comps in 2008
- Reduce the handicap. The above all should help to reduce the handicap, Im still on 17 (16.9 to be exact). Id love to get down to 15 for starters.
- Play a King Challenge. Discussions have commenced already for a King Challenge on the NSW central coast in March. We havent had a fully fledged challenge for a while so it would be great to get one going this year.
- Improve this Blog. Have had a few ideas to improve content on this blog, more course reviews, maybe some product reviews. Then hopefully generate some more visitors to the site. (See 2007 summary)
Happy New Year!
