Went to the first Hawthorn final since 2001, with the Hawks taking on Adelaide in an Elimination Final. A smallish but VERY passionate crowd of about 35,000 was initially silenced by some Hawk nerves and Crows Goals. But the young Hawks found their confidence, run and got back in the game thanks to Crawf, Roughie, Hodge, Mitchell, Young and of course, Buddy Franklin. A tight last quarter saw the Hawks grab the lead but then some costly misses and a late Adelaide goal gave the Crows a 2 point lead. With the clock ticking down, Roughie missed, then a pressured turnover gave the ball to Crawf, who passed to Ladson and delivered a pinpoint pass to BUDDY with 20 seconds remaining…….
