Zac does a Tiger to win the Masters
April 11th, 2007 by Doogs
It was all going to the Tiger script, an typically aggressive shot into the Par 5 13th hole on the final round, hit the green, almost stopped then rolled back towards the hole for a tap in eagle and one shot from the lead. A few minutes earlier, Appleby had ended his chances by dumping it into the water on the par 3 11th. Unheralded Zach Johnson was ahead and as per the script should have started to collapse. WRONG! Johnson took on the Tiger role and birdied 13, 14 and 16, Tiger found water and just couldnt make up the gap! Even with a bogey on 17, Zac had a comfortable two shot buffer and slipped on the Green jacket.
- Can Tiger chase? When Woods is leading he is almost unstoppable, but there arent a lot of come from behind victories.
- Will an Australian ever win the Masters? Many near misses, many talented Aussies, got to be a matter of time!
Dont do this at home! – 11th Hole, final round. Tiger hits right and finishes up against a tree. Mortal golfer chips out to fairway. Tiger takes long iron and takes a full swing, knowingly wrapping the shaft around the tree snapping the club. Took a par!

Wow, I can’t even imagine wasting a club like that! I honestly do not think I could bring myself to swing into a tree…sounds too painful! Of course, that’s why he earns the big bucks.
