On Par – All about golf in Australia

Played recently with potential future brother in law, and all round nice guy Vince, at the Frog.   The round was characterised by some slightly off centre yet lusty drives, decent irons, god-awful chipping and average to crap putting.  Vince had a round he would prefer to forget, struggled to get off the tee and was subsequently frogged!  Once the driver straightened up I was getting some great distance off the tee.  The swing off the 10th carried the bunker and whizzed past a couple of ladies on approach to the green,  couldnt make out the resulting words from the fairway exactly but something like “What the xxxxx do you think you are xxxx”. Finished with 88 for the round, not a bad score, but considering the poor short game, and 40 putts, (yep count them, four tee!) it could have been even better!
