British Open – Tigered

Tiger did reign supreme to record a comfortable two shot win in the 2006 Open over fellow American DiMarco. Ernie was a further 3 shots back. OK, so I said that an American wouldnt win and they finished 1st, 2nd and 4th. Tigers was an emotional victory, breaking down in memory of his father after holing the winning putt and then recording two of sports longest hugs with his caddie and wife. (Caddie was longer i think!)
Best placed Australian was Adam Scott again, with a pretty pedestrian 72, though he was never going to challenge Woods. A gang of 5 other Aussies finished a further 3 shots behind Scott.
Special mention to Sergio Garcia for the best impersonation of a piece of fruit in the British Open.
