Unfortunately in reality, the Socceroos didnt win as predicted losing in the cruelest of circumstances to a dive that Greg Lougainess would be proud of. But in the world of the PS2, the Australian’s did win through to the quarter finals to meet the Ukraine. Here is the result of the crucial quarter final clash.

With Kewell injured the Aussies were stretched up forward but started sensationally with another goal to Cahill, tapping a deft kick past the goalie in the 9th minute.
Cahill Ukraine equalised in the 25th minute as the Australian defence were temporarily distracted by a phone call. The five minutes later dramatic scenes as Neill is sent off with a red card, the replay clearly showing a dive with Neill going for the ball. Dive Red

The deadlock was broken by none other than Mark Viduka in the 68th minute heading the ball into the net from a Cahill chip into the box. The socceroos advance to the Semi Finals to take on the winner of Germany and Argentina!!!!!!!!
