Form returns at the Frog

Played yesterday at the Growling Frog, a 6185 metre Graham Marsh design. The course is links style, set amongst large river gums with a lot of sand and the occasional ‘hidden’ lake/pond. Excellent fairways and greens, but the rough is literally dry clay and clumps of dry grass.

Following on from a big night the previous night at Ians 40th , the opening holes were patchy and the putting poor. So after going out in a 10 over 46, something finally clicked with the driver and short game (maybe I sobered up) and finished the back nine in 3 over 39 including a birdie on the 14th dropping a huge putt.
