On Par – All about golf in Australia

Sam (4 yr old son) and I went head to head over 18 holes on the Lakes course at Latrobe Adventure Golf. With a liberal interpretation of the rules, and a couple of gimmes (from both sides!), it was a close contest.

Tied after 9 holes, Sam moved to a 2 shot lead on 12th, but a hole in one on the 17th help Mike grab a share of the lead going into the final hole. The 18th is all uphill requiring a solid hit, Sam nailed his putt and the ball dropped into the hole for an ace! With the pressure on, Mike miss-cued and took a 2. Sam won 43 to 44! (A sign of things to come perhaps!)
