Long Island

Yesterday was invited by Ben and Cam (his bro in law) to play at Long Island Country Club near Frankston. A traditional sandbelt layout (6205m Par 72) with undulating fairways, quick and true greens, big contoured ball sucking bunkers and deep tea-tree rough. We played as a team of two in a bestball stableford comp with a small group. Ben was on fire hitting accurate tee shots and a couple of approaches that scared the crap out of the pin, he shot a very respectible 92 of the stick, I had an average 94 but together we shot 49 points and took the cash!

Great course, favourite holes were the back to back par 5’s (4th and 5th), and the two short testing 16th and 8th par 4s.
